Belgium – Waregem tabs Alyssa Bennett – by Eurobasket News
Declercq Stortbeton Waregem (Division I) inked 24-year old American forward Alyssa Bennett (188-90, agency: LBM Management). She just graduated from Hampton (NCAA). In 32 games she averaged an impressive 17.8ppg, 9.4rpg, 1.3apg, and 1.8spg last season. She helped them to win MEAC Tournament and end the regular season at the top position. A very good season in her career as she was awarded All-MEAC Defensive Player of the Year, All-MEAC All-Tournament MVP and selected to All-MEAC 1st Team.
As mentioned above Bennett is just out of the college and it will be her first season in pro basketball. She won NJCAA D1 championship title in 2010.
