24-year old forward Jarryd Cole (204-F-88) had a very impressive game in the last round for La Rochelle and receives a Eurobasket.com NM1 Player of the Week award for round 25.
He had a double-double of 36 points and 12 rebounds, while his team was edged out by Monaco (#6, 13-8) in overtime 97-96. La Rochelle moved-up to the 7th position in the French NM1. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. La Rochelle will need to avoid more loses keep or improve their 13-10 record. Cole turned to be La Rochelle’s top player in his first season with the team. University of Iowa graduate has very impressive stats this year. Cole is in league’s top in points (5th best: 16.9ppg), rebounds (3rd best: 7.6rpg) and averages solid 58.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jonathan Tornato (210-C-89) of Blois. He is a center in his second season at Blois. In the last game Tornato recorded impressive 33 points and 9 rebounds. Of course he lead Blois to another comfortable win outscoring CFBB (#16, 0-23) 99-73. Blois’ 8th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 12-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Tornato is well-known at Blois and he already established his position as one of the team’s leaders.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman Ryan Zamroz (192-G/F-87, agency: Players Group) of Sorgues (#10). Zamroz scored 25 points and passed four assists. He was a key player of Sorgues, leading his team to a 81-68 easy win against slightly lower-ranked Chartres (#11, 9-13). Sorgues needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 11 victories and 11 lost games. Zamroz has a great season in France. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 19.5ppg (best scorer). He also has FGP: 53.0% and 3PT: 43.3%.

The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) – 2*BSAG – 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM – 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) – 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) – (FTA-FTM)
