The 23-year old forward had the game-high 24 points adding seven rebounds and five assists for Oviedo in her team’s victory, helping them to beat Azkoitia (#12, 2-6) 67-59. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings in group A. Oviedo maintains the 14th position in their group in Spanish LF2. The season is still in it’s early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 7 games and had just one victory. Brown turned to be Oviedo’s top player in her first season with the team. Iona College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Brown is league’s best scorer averaging so far 22.3ppg. Brown is in league’s top in and averages solid 4.5spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round’s games was young Patricia Soler (186-C/F-94, agency: Regeneracom Sports) of IF Air Europa. Soler impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as IF Air Europa was edged by slightly lower-ranked Batalyaws (#12, 2-6) 82-79. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in group B. IF Air Europa dropped in the standings to 11th position. Her team is not often considered as one of the league’s best with a mere 3-5 record. Soler is a newcomer at IF Air Europa and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team’s leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.9ppg (#7). She also registered 10.1 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was Celia Menendez (186-PF-90, agency: Josep and Nicolas) of Alcobendas (#4). Menendez scored 16 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Alcobendas, leading her team to a 72-59 easy win against the lower-ranked Valencia (#13, 1-7). Alcobendas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams in group B. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 2 lost games. Menendez has a great season in Spain. After only 7 games, she made it on the list of the league’s leaders in points with 15.6ppg (9th best).
